Our random day out...

So since school is finally over, our parents want us to do some work and get some serious money. Hence we went on an interview on Tuesday (21st) to the Wafi mall in Dubai and what a disaster that was!

Firstly, we weren't dressed formally. At all. There were around 15-20 people, all of them actually dressed for an interview and then there was us, not indecent but definitely not formal. I wanted to run out the second we entered but Beez compelled me to stay. After around half an hour the HR was ready to call out our names for the interview, I and Beez finished pretty early and honestly... it was surprisingly not so bad.

We continued to roam around aimlessly around the mall cause we had decided to do some shit that day. We saw this shop which had some pretty cool furniture/house decoration stuff in it so we just got in there and started checking everything out. Touching all the amazing fabric, looking at the prices and snickering, sitting on the sofas and the soft bed and then we finally came across the 'smell district'.

All of the things that we smelled...

Our favourite smell (The smell of embers!)

Oh and how we smelled... the scented candles XD. But we smelled it all wrong!
Apparently you lift that glass bell jar and then smell the jar and not the candle itself which is obviously what we were doing. Thank you store guy for telling us how to smell the right way even though you were busy on the phone. ^_^

And after a little more wandering we entered Hallmark and "awwed" at almost everything.

This was the most adorable thing ever!
And then we had a conversation about how sexist it was keep a separate section for boys filled with cars and nerf guns and have a girls section filled with Barbies... And so naturally our way of rebelling was to spend the entire time in the boys section. We the YOLO terrorists!

After this we just randomly decided to go to the Dubai mall cause pfft why not??

And then us being us we got into the wrong metro platform. *cue running to the right platform before the metro left us* Thankfully we didn't miss the Dubai mall metro station. *cue painstakingly walking the entire way TO the mall*

*more wandering* *going inside Sharaf DG, looking through the games and playing FIFA on XBox and then leaving like we the boss*

We got ourselves some KFC chicken popcorn and then finally made our way to Kinokuniya. The most asjafgefgwafiuwahfjac bookstore in the entire world!

Look at the beauty!
So after getting inside this beauty, we looked through some amazing books and mangas. We were discussing our love for Japanese language when we found out that the people who were sitting next to us were also Japanese... Yeah it was kind of awkward to say the least.

On our way to the food-court we saw this toy store where they had placed a green mat, with bubbles being blown by some automatic thingy right above it. I mean, it clearly was an indication for us to go and play on it since we were adults! So that's what we did. We played and popped bubbles for five minutes and then walked off like it was a completely normal thing to do in public. And you know what? It felt amazing.

Finally we reached the food-court and decided to go get some Thai for the first time in our life. So we got to the Thai restaurant, saw the limited choices and then made our way to the Chinese restaurant just to find that you can only have full course meals and since we were two broke girls we continued to move on to the Japanese restaurant called Sugoi! Only to find a load of fish and expensive Bentos.... Aaaand that, my little humans, is how we ended up having Coldstone for lunch.

The most amazing flavours- Dark chocolate, cheesecake and Cake batter!

After it had been devoured.
The people at Coldstone were so cool, they made us smile by dancing to the song 'Happy' by Pharell Williams and then doing all this amazing stuff with the ice cream. It was super cool!

*our long quest to the metro station to get back home*

Once at the station we naturally ended up in the wrong platform... again. *cue running to the right platform... again*

And once in the metro, we were so busy talking about how to survive the Zombie apocalypse that we missed our station! After all those close encounters with almost missing the station or getting on the wrong metro we finally went and missed the station! We ended up in the Deira City Centre station. So we got out and then made our way to the right platform and then got out at Union to finally get the metro home.

While waiting for the metro at Union we had an intense talk about how we were going to grow old some day and how terrible it would be and all of that stuff. I'm convinced that it was the bench that was making us talk about all the old stuff. It reminded us of the awesome quote we saw on a mug in Hallmark,

"Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional"

We hope to live by that Golden rule.

And that was our random day out! It was super amazing and I hope to have more days like this one. And I my advice to anyone out there would be that an unplanned day out with your best friend will be amazing no matter which direction it ends up in... unless it's the direction of death and injury, then it wouldn't be cool...

Lots of love & pasta,

My turn,

I'm warning the shit out of this post- I'm going philosophical.
(effects of listening to fucking-beautiful soundtracks)

So you just read what Raven wrote, that day was epic.
We had so much fun, got like a shit load of new experiences (job interview, various candle smellings, wrong station on the metro) and we talked most about the upcoming zombie apocalypse. Oh and coldstone for lunch!!
You can't have more fun then that.

And you don't even know what the best part is- we were on our own. There was no hurry no rush, no compulsion, no one to answer to and nobody to check on us.
We were wild and- free.

And we also had ice cream for lunch.

Cue the philosophical---

One of the most amazing parts of the day is that we had nothing to do!
We were basically just roaming the city. We were winging it. And i never want to stop doing that!
Just like quote Raven mentioned, we were older but not grown up.
We did stupid things and we danced in bubbles and we laughed at stupid things and we missed our station (all this while being one and a almost adult).
But we had the time of our lives!

And i want to keep doing this all my life!
I want to always be wild and free spirited.

I don't ever want to be an adult with responsibilities and a time latch on everything!
I want to be my own person (unlike in the movie The DUFF) with no boundaries.
